Squad:

Now, let`s go in-depth about the different players, their strengths, and the team composition of the Rajasthan Royals team in the IPL 2020 season. Rajasthan Royals have a lot of exciting players in their squad from the Indian and international contingent.

Captain: Steve Smith

Steve Smith will lead the team in this year`s IPL and he is an astute captain and batsman who can lead his team to victory in tough situations.

Batsmen: Riyan Parag, David Miller, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Manna Vohra, Shashank Singh

David Miller is known for big-hitting all-round the park in both IPL and international circuits. Riyan Parag had a great debut season last year with the bat. Yashaswi Jaiswal is an exciting Under-19 player from the Indian circuit. Manan Vohra and Shashank Singh will be the reserve batsmen in the squad.

All-rounders: Ben Stokes, Mahipal Lormor, Shreyas Gopal, Aniruddha Joshi, Tom Curran

Ben Stokes`s availability is still uncertain in this season. Shreyas Gopal is a spin-bowling all-rounder who performed superbly last year. Mahipal Lormor and Aniruddha Joshi got only very few chances in the previous season and will hope to get more game time this time. Tom Curran was picked in this year`s auction to strengthen the pace department.

Wicket-Keepers: Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Robin Uthappa, Anuj Rawat

Jos Buttler is one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball in limited-overs. Sanju Samson and Robin Uthappa have vast experience playing in IPL and have also played for team India. Anuj Rawat is a rookie keeper in the squad.

Bowlers: Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Rahul Tewatia, Ankit Rajpoot, Oshane Thomas, Jofra Archer, Andrew Tye, Karthik Tyagi, Mayank Markande, Akash Singh

Jaydev Unadkat will be expected to lead their pace attack with his variations and cutters. Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas, and Jofra Archer are capable of bowling over 140+ kmph consistently and trouble the batsmen with their lines and lengths. Ankit Rajpoot and Andrew Tye can vary their pace and utilize the slow tracks on offer. Mayank Markande and Rahul Tewatia are the spin bowlers in the squad. Karthik Tyagi and Akash Singh are the under-19 recruits from the recent Under-19 World Cup squad.

Best possible XI

Steve Smith (C), Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (Wk), Ben Stokes, Robin Uthappa, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Jofra Archer, Varun Aaron, Rahul Tewatia

Remaining Players: David Miller, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Manna Vohra, Shashank Singh, Mahipal Lormor, Aniruddha Joshi, Tom Curran, Anuj Rawat, Ankit Rajpoot, Oshane Thomas, Andrew Tye, Karthik Tyagi, Mayank Markande, Akash Singh

Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 Prediction

Rajasthan Royals have a strong batting line-up with the likes of Steve Smith, Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, and Robin Uthappa in their squad. With Stokes availability under question mark and Uthappa`s form in decline, they rely on young players like Riyan Parag and Mahipal Lormor in the middle order. They have a good pace attack capable of bowling with raw pace and the ability to use the variations. Spin departments look bleak in resources barring Shreyas Gopal as the rest of the names are yet to make a big mark in the IPL. Rajasthan Royals have quite a few holes to fix in their squad with the young Indian players and let`s hope they step up for the team`s cause. We expect Rajasthan Royals to end the season in the group stages itself in the IPL2020 season as they rely heavily on new unknown talents in the lower middle-order and spin department.

Top players to bet on

  1. Ben Stokes – Complete all-rounder
  2. Sanju Samson – Aggressive opening batsmen & Keeper
  3. Jos Buttler – Batsman who can play shots all over the park.
  4. Jofra Archer –  Quality pace bowler
  5. Shreyas Gopal – Proven match-winning spinner
